Several tours can be taken. We took the Neuschwanstein Castle (where Disney got his inspiration from for his fairytale castle) tour leaving from the Radius Tours office in Munich Central Station. We met our guide there with the rest of the group in the morning and caught a train to Fussen station. From there it was a longish but pleasurable walk up to the castle with quite a lot of informative history along the way from our tour guide. After the castle we then visited Marienbtuke Bridge and then walked along the ravine below it. It was an excellent adventure.

Make sure that you take your walking shoes and something waterproof and dress for the weather. The tour includes a walk over a bridge spanning a ravine and later a walk down into it.
